Google Pixel 8a has been certified by Bluetooth SIG

Google's upcoming mid-range smartphone, the Google Pixel 8a has been listed on the Bluetooth Special Interest Group platform. It carries four different model numbers – G8HNN, GKV4X, G6GPR and G576D. All are said to support Bluetooth 5.3 version. The Google Pixel 8A is the direct successor to the Google Pixel 7A model launched in May last year.

The new phone is expected to hit the market around the same time. Last month, some specifications of the Pixel 8A were leaked and it is rumored to be unveiled at Google's annual I/O developer conference on May 14. Based on the information that has surfaced so far, it could be launched in four color options – Obsidian, Porcelain, Bay and Mint.

In terms of specifications, the Google Pixel 8a will have a 6.1-inch OLED display, which will offer a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,400 nits peak brightness. The Pixel 8a is expected to run on an underclocked version of the in-house Tensor G3 chipset. This processor may come with 8GB RAM and 27W wired fast charging.
