Mahindra Thar 5 Door: The wait is over, the new Mahindra Thar is coming to India on August 15

Jimny 5-door appearance Mahindra & Mahindra has decided to bring a five-door version of their very popular lifestyle SUV Thar. 

The company has been working on the car for a long time. Again it made several visits during road testing in India. This time a report by an all India news agency claims that Mahindra will launch their Thar 5-door car on Independence Day this year i.e. August 15, 2024. Let's know about the various details of the car.

Mahindra Thar 5-door – Design

As a result of the increase in size, the 5-door version of the Thar is offered with a rear door. It will be very convenient for the rear passengers to travel in the car. Cleverly the door handles are placed in the C-pillar, so that it looks like a three-door model. As seen in the spy shots, the car gets new circular LED headlights and DRLs, new grille and LED tail lamps.

Mahindra Thar 5-door – Interior

The cabin image of Mahindra Thar 5-door has also been leaked. It has been seen that the new touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control and electric sunroof are inside the car. Mahindra Scorpio N might also have a steering wheel.

Mahindra Thar 5-door – Engine Specifications

Talking about the engine specifications, the Mahindra Thar 5-door will be offered in both petrol and diesel powertrain options. The petrol variant will be powered by a 2.0 liter turbo charged engine. Whereas the diesel version will have a 2.2 liter unit. Both the engines will be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Mahindra is expected to offer this car in rear wheel drive and four wheel drive configurations.
