Google Pixel 9: How will Google's new flagship smartphone look? Here is the picture

Google usually launches its Pixel series flagship smartphone in the second half of every year. This year seems to be no exception.

The US tech giant is likely to release the Google Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro around the same time this year as the successor to the Google Pixel 8 series launched last October. While the launch is still a long time away, the Pixel 9 series is rumored to come with several upgrades.

Now an online report has leaked 5K renders of the premium Google Pixel 9 Pro. The phone's design and measurements have been glimpsed through a 360-degree video. Notably, the video showcased a design that was seen on the Samsung Galaxy S24+ as well as the latest iPhone models. The main similarity between these phones is the flat frame design.

5K renders of Google Pixel 9 Pro surfaced

My Smart Price and tipster Onlix have jointly leaked 5K renders of the Google Pixel 9 Pro. This phone may offer a flat display of around 6.5 inches, meaning it will be slightly smaller in size than its predecessor. The renders confirm the presence of a punch-hole cutout at the top center of the display for the selfie camera and slim bezels around the display.

Google's flagship device is going to offer a flat frame, where the power button and volume rockers will be located on the right side and the minimalist look will be maintained with only the antenna symbol on the left side. The bottom of the Google Pixel 9 Pro will house the USB Type-C port, speaker grill and SIM card tray, while the top will house the mm Wave antenna cover and microphone.

Reports suggest that the Google Pixel 9 Pro may measure 162.7 x 76.6 x 8.5 mm. The phone may see a bump of up to 12.0 mm for the camera bump. The renders hinted at a revised design for the rear camera setup. It is expected to have a triple-camera setup, which will include a telephoto sensor alongside the standard wide camera. Notably, this periscope telephoto sensor is speculated to support variable aperture, which has further fueled fans' curiosity about the Google Pixel 9 Pro's camera capabilities.
