ISRO: Get accurate weather updates, ISRO launches new satellite into space

Last year, the Indian Space Agency, ISRO, achieved success in projects like Chandrayaan 3 launch and Aditya L1.

And this time the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has taken up a bunch of programs at the beginning of the new year. It is known that ISRO is going to send INSAT-3DS artificial satellite into space in February to collect meteorological data.

According to ISRO, artificial satellite INSAT-3DS will be sent into space by Pellai GSLVF14 rocket from Satish Dhawan Space Research Center on February 17.

This INSAT-3DS is India's third generation meteorological satellite. The Ministry of Earth Sciences has paid all the money for its development and launch. INSAT-3DS is being launched into space to provide accurate weather information in advance. This artificial satellite will keep an eye on the dynamics of the climate, as well as monitor the land, seas and oceans to warn of disasters in advance.

What is the purpose of this mission of ISRO?

To monitor the Earth's surface, weather matters, land, seas and oceans. Providing atmospheric and meteorological information. Providing data collection and data dissemination capabilities from Data Collection Platforms (DCPs). Providing various services through satellite.

India Meteorology Department (IMD) under Ministry of Geosciences, National Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasting (NCMRWF), Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), Indian National Center for Ocean Information Services ( INCOIS) will use INSAT-3DS satellite data to provide improved weather forecasting and meteorological services.
