Bajaj Pulsar NS400 engine-features leaked before launch

The Bajaj Pulsar series has dominated the market for over two decades due to its combination of style and performance.

So Bajaj Auto is unwilling to let bike lovers' enthusiasm for Pulsar wane. In a recent interview, the company's managing director Rajeev Bajaj made that tone clear. He said that they are going to bring a world-class Pulsar, fueling speculations of the most powerful Pulsar launch yet. According to him, a report has claimed that the company will launch Pulsar NS400 by 2024. Which is very happy news for bikers.

Bajaj will launch the Pulsar NS400 in 2024

Bajaj has recently launched several premium motorcycles in India. These include the third generation KTM 390 Duke and 250 Duke and the Speed 400 jointly developed with Triumph. This time, Bajaj has turned its attention to the most powerful avatar of the Pulsar. 400 cc engine can be given in it. Whereas till now Pulsar engine is available up to 250 cc.

Bajaj Pulsar NS400 is claimed to be the company's flagship model. Significantly, the naked Streetfighter bike will not be powered by Bajaj's new 400cc liquid cooled engine. Which is offered in two models of new generation KTM 390 Duke or Triumph 400 cc. Instead, it will use the 373 cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine that powers the Domineer 400 touring bike. It is capable of producing about 40 horsepower.

Also, to keep the price of the bike affordable, Bajaj is said to use the steel perimeter frame, which is present on the NS200. Besides, the chassis structure may be modified to accommodate the new powertrain. But interestingly, Pulsar NS400 will have less curb weight than Domineer 400. Again the design will be more attractive compared to other models in the NS series.

Besides, the Pulsar NS400 is likely to feature LED lighting, full digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, upside down front fork, mainshock rear suspension and dual channel ABS. Price can be between 2.10 lakh to 2.20 lakh rupees (ex-showroom).
