After Twitter introduced the paid Blue Tick service, Meta also announced the introduction of the paid Blue Tick service.

The company announced the launch of the new service last week. Facebook and Instagram users can now pay to verify their accounts, which was previously free.

Facebook and Instagram are rolling out paid subscriptions to users in Australia and New Zealand first. Users will have to pay $11.99 (approx. Rs. 990) for the web version and $14.99 (approx. Rs. 1,240) per month for iOS and Android mobile platforms.

For Facebook and Instagram Blue Tick verification, users need to provide government ID. Besides, users who subscribe will get direct customer support and their posts will reach more people.

A Meta spokeswoman said Facebook and Instagram's paid verification feature would be rolled out globally within the next seven days, although some users in Sydney confirmed receiving the service.
